Indian students learn advantages of studies in Russia

Saint-Petersburg State University took part in India International Education Fair that was held on May, 24-25 in New Delhi. It is the first but efficient participation which in the next academic year will bring us new students from this vivid and fast-developing country.

 

India International Education Fair has been held since 2004 and in the past these fairs have been extended to more than 30 cities all over India, among them – Kathmandu, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Ranchi, Patna, Bhubaneswar, Lucknow, Chandigarh and New Delhi in 2010. More than 100 000 guests visited the Fair in 2010. Over 200 universities, colleges, schools, training institutions each year participate in this event.

 

The fair serves student community by providing an easy access to the information about the best Education Institutions worldwide. Target audience is students from secondary schools, colleges, universities, parents and teachers, education administrators, educational content providers, publishers, agents and others.

 

India is one of the top contributors of International Student across the globe and the very fact that Indian students speak English makes them the most desired one. So far India has maintained its number 1 position for US institutions and number of students from India are increasing in other countries as well.

 

Favorable prerequisites on the Russian-Indian market (military industrial complex, shipbuilding, aircraft building etc.) increases the interest in studying the Russian language among Indian students. Cultural relationships between our countries also stimulate this process.

 

That’s why Saint-Petersburg State university participation in this Fair in naturally determined.

 

Guests of the exhibition showed keen interest in Russian education. Undoubtedly, our close industrial, business and culture collaboration will have a good influence upon domestic demand for young talents with good command of Russian.
