SPbU offers foreign applicants a new course!

Russian Language and Culture Institute and Faculty of Arts of Saint Petersburg University elaborated a new program for foreign applicants willing to study in Russia in fields “Graphic design”, “Environmental design” and “Easel painting”.

Saint Petersburg State University enjoys a great renown among foreign applicants: in year 2012 over 280 trainees from 32 foreign countries enrolled bachelor and master programs at SPbU. Philology, international relations, political science, economy, management – it became a good tradition that these, as well as other fields of study at SPbU, spark interest among students from abroad. Pollings at international education fairs and seminars show growing number of comments regarding programs of the Faculty of arts, especially “Graphic design”, “Environmental design” and “Easel painting”.

In year 2013 Saint Petersburg University starts enrollment campaign to preparatory programs for foreign applicants wishing to study in fields “Graphic design”, “Environmental design” and “Easel painting”.  Within 10 months, from September 2013 through June 2014, trainees will study Russian language at Russian Language and Culture Institute and, parallel to that, grasp the elements of their future major - architectonic drawing, tonal drawing, academic drawing, short object sketches, master different types of still-life and composition. All classes will be held by Saint Petersburg’s leading painters and designers, members of professional associations.

In total within the program framework the trainees will take 800 academic hours of Russian as a foreign language and 360 hours in special fields. Well-balanced combination of essential grammar and vocabulary along with special disciplines will afford applicants to prepare thoroughly for enrollment to the Faculty of arts for the 2014-2015 academic year.

The program tuition fee is 282 600 rubles (equivalent to 9 420 USD) for the whole preparatory course. The classes start from September, 1, 2013.
