Admission rules and accommodation
To apply for our program, individual must be at least 18 years old. Trainees aged from 14 to 18 can be accepted only within a group (comprising no less than 6 persons) and accompanied by adult.
To enroll to preferred course, fill in the application form at APPLY NOW section. Note that minimal term for tuition is 2 weeks.
To enter the Russian Federation, most foreign citizens need to obtain a visa. If you already have your visa, you can enroll the course no later than 1 week prior scheduled beginning of tuition.
If you need to claim your visa, be sure to enroll to the course with respect to time-consuming factor for processing invitation, sending original of invitation (if required) and issue of a visa. Generally it takes from 2 to 6 weeks to process invitation. Find details about terms for invitation processing and delivery in VISA section.
We would like to draw your attention that invitation can not be processed if your passport expires earlier than 6 months after supposed departure from Russia.
Foreign citizens arriving for tuition at Saint Petersburg State University must come to our office (naberejnaya Leitenanta Shmidta, 11, room 307) for registration and migration record on their first day in Russia or on the following day (except Saturdays, Sundays and national holidays).To learn more about regulations of stay in Russian Federation for foreign citizens, see section BASIC RULES.
We assist our trainees in their accommodation arrangement in Saint Petersburg by offering following accommodation options:
- on Vasilievsky island or in any other central district of Saint Petersburg in a Russian family, hostel, mini-hotel or in a rent flat. In this case you will study at the main building of Russian Language and Culture Institute on Vasilievsky island;
- in the dormitory of the campus of Saint Petersburg State University in Petrodvorets. In this case, you will live and study in one campus.
